Celebrancy
Q: Can I employ you directly?
Absolutely! I am more than happy to work directly with you, or via a Funeral Director. This is your farewell and you get to choose.
Q: Can you help me to plan my own funeral?
If you are planning your own funeral, I would be honoured to meet with you. We can talk through all the options available to you in order to make your final fling as unique and individual are you are. We can make this a beautiful celebration of your life.
Q: Are you happy to host a living funeral or wake for me?
I am. Living funerals / wakes are increasing in popularity. Why wait? This way YOU get to hear all the lovely things people normally wait to say about you until after you have died.
Q: Are you willing to include spiritual or religious elements?
YES! I am here to support you however you would like that to be and am happy to include spiritual and religious elements within the service. I am unable to give blessings in the name of a particular religion, but hymns, readings and prayers are fine. We can also include lovely touches that would normally be included in specific religious ceremonies if you so desire.
Q: What types of ceremony do you undertake?
A: There are so many different types of ceremony available to you. From the more traditional cremation or burial, to woodland burials, memorials and celebrations of life. Please do get in touch to hear more about the different types of ceremony I offer.
Q: Are you willing to travel?
I will try to be as flexible and accommodating as possible. If your ceremony is further afield, I may charge an additional fee which I will discuss with you in the first instance. Additional charges may also apply for weekend work.
Q: How do you address diversity and inclusivity in your work?
The Funeral Code of Conduct to reference equality and inclusivity states:
“The celebrant should adhere to treat everyone regardless of age, ability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation equally and without prejudice.”
My aim is to ease your pain and grief through this difficult time and I promise to act with professionalism and dignity at all times.
I am a LGBTQIA+ friendly celebrant.
EFT Therapy
Q: How long is a session and how will it take place?
Sessions are normally an hour and will take place online.
Online sessions work well as they are a flexible way for us to find a time to meet. You can speak freely from a place where you feel comfortable and safe.
I will email you a link to the session which means that you don’t have to do anything else.
Q: How much does it cost?
Let’s book in a call to see if EFT will help, and that I am the right person for you.
I work with clients on a one to one basis, starting from three sessions.
Q: Do you deal with mental health issues?
If you are on currently on medication or receiving treatment for a mental health diagnosis, I would always recommend you speak with your mental health professional.
That being said, of course you can still practice EFT – it is great for reducing stress, anxiety and worry.
Q: Can EFT be used for issues other than grief?
Absolutely! We can tap on so many different things; from overwhelm, rage, phobias and even pain.
Q: Do you have any links to more information on EFT?
If you would like to find out more about EFT, you may like to do some further reading on the subject. Take a look at Dr. Peta Stapleton who is a renowned psychologist and research scientist into the efficacy of EFT.
Alternatively Nick Ortner, whose book ‘The Tapping Solution’, is an easy to digest introduction and exploration into tapping.
For grief specific reading, take a look at ‘Joy Beyond Grief’ by Janice Thompson.
