What is EFT?
EFT is short for Emotional Freedom Techniques, also known as tapping. It is an alternative therapy method that uses gentle finger tapping on specific meridian points on the body.
This practice is derived from energy psychology and acupuncture theories that target disruptions in energy flow.
How Can EFT Help Me?
If you are here on my page, you may already be familiar with the pain, anxiety and distress associated with grief, loss or terminal diagnosis. By using EFT we can create a safe space to process those feelings and work towards finding some way of living alongside them. We can tap through the layers of your loss together at your own pace. You will remain completely in control whilst I support and guide you.

Tapping calms the nervous system and can help regulate the body’s stress response.
The physical act of tapping can help to release emotional intensity, and in this way negative emotions can be diffused and reframed.
Anxiety can be reduced by relaxing distraught emotional states.
Racing thoughts can be quietened, allowing acceptance and inner peace to come to the fore.
By airing, exploring and acknowledging all of our stresses and feelings, we can begin to release any guilt, shame or limiting beliefs that we carry – sometimes without realising.

Processing Relief and Guilt
The immense grief when losing a terminally ill loved one is complex. Emotions can range from devastating heartache one moment to relief that suffering is over the next.
This back and forth between grieving their loss yet feeling guilty for being grateful for their peace can be draining.
We can gently explore all those confusing emotions. Putting words to this inner conflict can diffuse any associated guilt and ease harsh self-judgement.
